What is Emmaus

Emmaus is a non-profit ministry approved by Bishop Kemme, dedicated to creating a vibrant, Christ-centered culture for 8th-12th graders in the Wichita Diocese.

What we do

Emmaus is a ministry dedicated to creating a vibrant, Christ-centered culture for our local community through opportunities for fellowship, prayer, and formation.

Our mission

Mission Statement: “As an organization we must reflect the Catholic Church and Her teachings. As a team we must reflect the apostles and their zeal. Most importantly, as individuals, we must reflect Jesus Christ by our words and through our actions.”

Emmaus is a family.

Our Goals

Our goal as a ministry is to foster intentional community, create a space for encounters with God, and form intentional missionaries to send out into the community to bring the joyful fire of Christ to everyone.

Our Patron Saints

Our Lady of Guadalupe

Our Blessed Mother

Our Lady Of Guadalupe, in her very being, is missionary. She sought out those who didn't know her Son and set millions of souls on fire for Jesus. Let us always call on our patroness when we struggle in our efforts as missionary-disciples.

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux

Patron Saint Of Missions

In living “The Little Way” by which she sought to attain eternal life with Christ, St. Thérèse performed small acts with great love, hidden from others, in order to give glory to God alone. She taught that we are to do “ordinary things with extraordinary love.”

Saint Pope John Paul II

Patron Saint Of Young Catholics

Saint Pope John Paul II's passion for bringing the future of The Church, the youth, to his beloved Christ has impacted the lives of youth by urging them to give their lives to God and to never give up hope.
