Become an Emmaus Missionary
We're so glad you're here!
At Emmaus, our mission is to bring teens closer to Christ and to each other. We aim to do this through our three pillars: Community, Encounter, and Mission. To make this happen, we're in search of missionary leaders who are ready to love as Christ does.
If you're reading this, it means you're likely discerning joining our missionary team. We want to walk alongside you in this discernment process and equip you to hear God's voice for the next step, whether that means partnering with us, or embracing the call to be missionary disciples elsewhere.
The Next Steps
an invitation into discernment
Step 1 - Let’s get to know each other.
Fill out an application
First things first, let’s get in contact by swapping some simple information so we can stay in touch. The application was written to give you more information about the term and serves as a place for you to ask any questions.
Step 2 - Come discern with us
Missionary Discernment Period
Before signing any contracts and fully committing, come serve with us! We want you to get a better idea of what being an Emmaus missionary looks like.
Step 3 - Commit to a term
Serve As A Missionary
Starting in August, missionaries sign the missionary agreement and commit for a term that ends in January.
Take the next step towards serving

How does funding work?
Emmaus Follows a financial structure plan similar to NET ministries and Damascus ministries. This model allows missionaries to seek people who are willing to support them through prayers and donations instead of carrying the financial burden themselves. Fundraising checks can be made as tax deducible donations to Emmaus Ministries
How much will I fundraise?
Returning Missionaries and New Missionaries - $310
-
What will the time commitment be?
The Emmaus Missionary program is designed to be able to fit into the business of school and work. With the exception of Iron Teens camp, we always meet on Fridays after 5pm to simplify class and work scheduling.
When will we be meeting?
While some exceptions are made, the Emmaus schedule usually goes as follows:
Awakens - 1st Friday of the month evenings
Iron Teens - Third Friday of the month evenings
Missionary Community Meals - Fourth Friday of the month evenings
Iron Teens Camp - August 30th-September 2nd
A full schedule will be provided to missionaries before they sign on for their term.
-
Do I have to do anything outside of the required meeting times?
All missionaries agree to reading the Sacred Scriptures daily and keeping up with weekly emails.
